The leap of faith

Hello everyone, thanks for reading this far.

I'm looking to re-boot my career in AV, I have a couple of years experience in AV related industries and a BSc in Media Tech. I have a good technical background but I am very keen on working up from the bottom.

I would like to focus my career on the AV / Home Automation industry but I would like to get the low-down on the industry. I am mainly interested in becoming a Installation Engineer. I need to know the nitty gritty about the industry including the highs and lows before I take the pay cut and commit myself at the first tread of the ladder.

Any honest positive and negative opinions of the industry would be greatly appreciated before I take the leap of faith and make some big changes to follow what in my eyes could be an awesome career.

p.s. oh I'm based in Sussex, late 20's, own car and clean driving license, prepared to travel... if anyone is looking for a tea boy!!

Thanks for even more for reading this far...
