Whfs&v........

Unbelievable

There is a thread on their forum about HDMI and a certain Editor has stamped his arrogance and impatience all over the thread - as he does with a lot of other threads.

I happened to mention after one particularly sarcastic comment, that considering he was representing the magazine, he came across as a tad arrogant.

Within 5 minutes my post was gone - presumably deleted by him, seeing as he was online.

Above critiscism?

I recently mentioned the AVF interview (didn't mention it was AVF) re HDMI in a thread about which "expensive" cable to choose. I stated that I couldn't link of I would probably be banned. I did suggest a search on Youtube as I thought the info was edcucational and in the consumers interest. Within minutes it had been deleted under "house rules".

There's lies, damn lies and WHS&V? (allegedly)

Re: Whfs&v........

Read this thread and look for my comments (BluMonday). He struggles to answer my questions - I've kept it civil to avoid a ban.

The comment about moderation being deleted was a jibe made at him (not in an insulting way and I didn't even mention the actual topic) for deleting threads when criticism was levelled.

What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision - give me my mag back !!#*

Re: Whfs&v........

The March 2009 issue (out on Thursday) has another 'Reviews Round-Up' of HDMI cables. How a digital cable can make "colours appear overly rich and unnatural" is beyond me but there you go. WHFS&V's obsession with expensive HDMI cables is the main thing that annoys me most about the magazine but I do like the fact they cover a lot of products - admittedly, not in a great deal of detail - in each issue and that is the reason I subscribe.

Oh, and there's further fuel for the pro-Sony argument - Sony walk away with the 'Best One-Make Blu-ray Systems' and '40-42" TVs' Supertest Winner Awards this month!

Whilst I understand what you mean, I can't say much as we do have a presence on there.....

But what I can say is that Onkyo will soon be upsetting Sony's apple cart......

Re: Whfs&v........

What Sony Mag, About right that!! if a Sony is tested it's an automatic winner
The last four generations of the 40" series sets always supertest winner
set of the year, and do you now what? We have more problems with them
than any other comparable set!!

Just over hyped garbage!!

Just an opinion guys don't take it to heart..
