I bought this months HCC and spotted the DIY Cinema article. This month's is part 2.

Would anyone be willing to scan part 1 from last month and email it to me as a PDF or JPG ?

Cheers

I think I'd better point out out that unauthorised reproduction of Home Cinema Choice in any form is prohibited under copyright law. However, we now offer back issues of the magazine for £4.50 inc postage and you can order issue 157 (with the first part of the DIY Home Cinema feature) directly from us.

Check out page 140 of #158 - the latest issue - for details.

We used to offer a reprint service, but that was phased out in favour of this new method.

Rik O' almighty Deputy Editor,

I'm an avid reader of HCC, keep up the good work but can I make a suggestion? Could you make the readers Home Cinema section a bit larger? All the Cedia installs are excellent but really how many readers can afford some of the installs that you show! Could you do a feature on a 'proper' DIY install please? Although the feature is interesting it is still a custom install isn't it! Did you get the installers with the dodgiest haircuts in Christendom on purporse?

Cheers

Duncs

ps can you pass my regards to Matthew Moule, reading about soundproofing is the ideal recipe for a good nights sleep!!

pps I was called by HCC a while ago and the lady said 'you've recently entered a competition' I asked what I had won and the the reply was: 'Ho ho ho may I be the first to congratulate you on being offered a reduced subscription of HCC' AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH

Hello Rik,

I was wondering what you do in terms of advertising within the magazine? Do you have people who work for the magazine who go out and offer opportunities for companys that are associated with HC systems and equipment to advertise in the magazine?

Let me know.

Re: DIY Home Theatre article in Home Cinema Choice

I have a bundle of these magazines in the kitchen cupboards among other different home and US versions of home theatre and so on. I haven’t brought the magazine since early 2000?

I find the information is only to wet appetites of those who think there reading whole story and nothing but the story is being told to them. The internet is faster means of gathering vital information and it’s far more exotic than reading a magazine.

So now I only use them for yesterday’s reference, I was only looking up some information yesterday in (Your Own Home Cinema) and reading a article on THX and the stated voltage level requirements for loudspeakers in the home of “28.3v” I was thinking isn’t that a misprint of the decimal mark? Don’t they mean 2.83v?
