Job Vacancy - Trainee AV Installations Engineer - Hertfordshire

This is an exciting opportunity to join the vibrant, fast growing team of Webstract Ltd, the parent company of MustAVit.co.uk. The main focus of the company is installation of home entertainment systems and smart home technology, including:

• Home cinema
• Intelligent lighting
• Multi-room AV distribution
• Home control and automation

This position will involve assisting with the installation, programming and set-up of these systems, both hardware and software based.

Applicant requirements:

• Must be computer literate, networking knowledge helpful
• Good communication skills
• Willing to learn new skills
• General interest in audio-visual systems
• Be able to work in a team & on own initiative

Electrical knowledge is preferable but full training will be given. Must have a full clean driving licence.

Could suit a recent A Level student or University graduate. Position can be adapted to suit the individual.

very interested, however I am 36 and I left university 15 years ago.
I am HND qualified in Electronics and have a high spec multi-room AV system installation at home that I set-up myself.

Qualifications/age - how long you've been out of university isn't an issue - although we said it would be suited to a recent graduate the job can always be adapted to suit the applicant if we think you're the right person to add to the business.

Driving licence - starting off, this won't be a problem, as all jobs will be with another engineer, the only thing to think about is getting to the office every day.

Salary - this is yet to be decided, as the job spec can be changed depending on the knowledge and experience of whoever takes the position

I'm guessing that the position will probably be filled by now, but I'm certainly interested in knowing more. Unfortunately I cannot go down in pay though as saving for a flat, so think I would need some more info on that for one thing and go from there.

Hi Matt,

My name is David Baldwin I have three years experience as a custom AV installer. My experience ranges from installing plasma screens to dedicated cinema rooms.
I am also experienced in system line modular both installation and programing and am also able to programe phillips pronto remote controls.
