Should you want my cable all I ask in return is some advice on how to use this forum as I am new and struggling to find where to ask questions and how to post replys in some forums, and for you to cover the postage once you have received it, think thats pretty fair.

For the equipment list, just go to profile and the 'signature' part, you can add your equipment list in there.
To post pictures, go to www.photobucket.com, create an account (free) and upload your photos the just post the 'img code' under the picture to get the photo in your post.
To start your own thread, go to the relevant forum and click on 'New Thread'
Hope this helps.

Hi there, many thanks for the advice. I notice you are using mainly sony equipment and using the sony universal remote. Just wondered how you find it to use and originially set up. I am looking for a remote at the moment as currently using 4 and looks so untidy. I like the design of the sony and it would match my equipment but was put of by a guy in the sony centre who said the logitech ones were easier to use. I have no experience with universal remotes so couldn't comment. Any idea's?

Well, the Sony one doesnt need any setting up as it has all the Sony codes built in, i just had to 'Learn' the Blu-Ray remote to it.
I also have a Logitech one, it was £45 on Amazon, works really well and is a lot cheaper. It can control up to 8 things. I only got the Sony to match my equipment, the first one broke so i got the Logitech, but i just bought a 2nd hand Sony again that was only used once, so i will be going back to that as Sony do not make one anymore.
The Logitech one will be fine, i have this one:- Kameleon 8 way Remote Control: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo
It works very well and the batteries last AGES.

I have a 50% off voucher for logitech's website so was thinking of getting a good one while I had it. Is there one that would switch on the playstation 3? I like the harmony one and with voucher price seems okay. I also like the harmony 1000 but seems a little overkill. I would like it to be future proof, as I am currently only going to be using it in bedroom for about 5 items. But by end of year will have bought own place and need it as a living room remote.
