Thanks: Gave 200, Got 390 | For Sale : Topfield TF5800 PVR Black
As I have moved to satellite I have for sale my reliable Topfield TF5800.
It is fully installed and configured with the Mystuff tap for that Sky+ comparable experience.
It is black, unmarked and complete with the original box.
Price: £150 ex delivery
PS. I can install any freeware tap for you or restore it to factory standard. The choice is yours so just ask.
Location: Whipsnade, South Beds, UK
I have read the trading rules and agree to abide by them at all times until the transaction is concluded to the satisfaction of all parties involved : Yes.

Please be advised, all buyers and sellers should satisfy themselves that the other party is genuine by providing the following via PM to each other after negotiations are complete and prior to dispatching goods and making payment:
1) Landline telephone number. Make a call to check out the area code and number are correct too!
2) Name and address including postcode
3) Valid e-mail address (no disposable addresses such as @gmail or @yahoo for example).
DO NOT proceed with a deal until you are completely satisfied with all details being correct. It's in your best interest to check out these details yourself.
Also we advise that the vendor post images of the items for sale. This helps your sale by showing the condition of the goods prior to dispatch.

No interest at all? How about at £125?
Common this is the best freeview PVR money can buy....I have moved to Freesat and we have no need for it elsewhere in our house. Record two programmes and watch a third, can't do that on many freeview boxes!

I'd like the idea of Toppy as it offers folder option which is important when you have 70 or 80 recordings!
I have some questions for you; - How long have you had it?
- Have you still got any warranty left?
- Is the box quiet?
- Is it 160 or 250GB?
Thanks

It indeed has got possibility to setup folders and nested folders. Together with the MyStuff tap it can even automatically place a recording in a folder of your choice. For example all my wife's soaps (Neighbours, Home & Away) go automatically in a Soaps folder.
I've had mine for 3 years, there is no warranty left and all Topfield 5800's are completely silent as there is no fan within them. It is the 160Gb version.
Everything is negotiable and so is price, but I am not going to give it away so it all depends on your definition of "cut the price substantially". Cheapest I have found online is via Amazon.co.uk where they sell new for £188. So this is already at 33% below the current cheapest new online price. The current shape, but same functionality model, is selling for £260 on the aforementioned site.

I recently bought one on the forums for £95inc. delivery and a Mark Grant RF cable...to give you an idea.

Have you got any pictures of the unit? Also thanks for confirming that toppy is nice and silent.
In terms of the price I'll be honest with you I sold my 18 months old humax 2 weeks ago, with 6 months of warranty left, for £70 so I couldn't justify paying more than that for 3 years old unit.

Whilst I appreciate your honesty regarding the price you have in mind, you can't really compare the Humax with the Topfield. The Toppy is in quite a different league.
Definitely on the wrong side of 3 digits, Scumball got a very good deal as he did and I won't give mine away like that.
The asking price is very good compared to a new model and this is the absolute top-end freeview PVR that can be personalised to exactly how you want it to operate.

Apologies for the quality I had to take them on my phone. The items is 100% unblemished and with the original box remote etc...
@davee: I said that I was looking for three digits and you offered three digits. I'm happy to let it go for £100.
