1) Landline telephone number. Make a call to check out the area code and number are correct too!
2) Name and address including postcode
3) Valid e-mail address (no disposable addresses such as @gmail or @yahoo for example).

DO NOT proceed with a deal until you are completely satisfied with all details being correct. It's in your best interest to check out these details yourself.

Also we advise that the vendor post images of the items for sale. This helps your sale by showing the condition of the goods prior to dispatch.

Re: Wanted : Good Quality Hdmi Cables

I've got a couple of very good quality HDMI cables that are surplus to requirements at the moment, both v1.3 compatible:

1) Wireworld Chroma 5: 1m cable - this one (NB mine is the round version rather than the flat, but same spec). Absolutely mint condition.

2) QED Qunex HDMI-P: 5m cable - this one. New in original packaging, never used

The price on the links above are £51.00 for the Wireworld, and £37.50 for the QED.

I'd be looking for £30 for either one of them (based on the fact that, although the Wireworld is a more expensive cable, it doesn't have the original packaging even though it is mint), or £55 for both - including insured delivery in either case.

Happy to take some pics of the actual cables if you're interested.

EDIT - payment via BT or paypal gift

Cheers
Dave

Sorry mate, I can't drop that low. I think I've priced them pretty fairly against the cheapest I can find online, and certainly less than they go for on a certain auction site (the 5m QED cable on the site you linked to is £52.50 - appreciate you only need 1m but a 5m cable is worth quite a bit more).

I could knock a couple of pounds off if you were buying both, but afraid I can't come anywhere near £40, sorry.

Cheers
Dave

Re: Wanted : Good Quality Hdmi Cables

Hi Mike,
If you've done some reading about HDMI cables then you'll appreciate how vague the manufacturer's specs really are. The problem with HDMI Certification is it guarantees only a minimum standard; so one cable could just scrape through whilst another passes with flying colours. There's no grade of pass.

Jeff Boccaccio was in the UK a couple of months back. Jeff is the Daddy when it comes to understanding HDMI. His company is now running a digital testing service for HDMI cables and hardware. Manufacturers can have their products checked and tested before they go off for HDMI approval. I was in one of the seminars when he demonstrated the test procedure. The gear used for the test costs 1/4 Million Dollars . It produces eye diagrams. They help show how much headroom there is above the minimum standard for a HDMI pass.

At the end of the seminar Jeff offered to test any cables we had brought along. I had two 1m cables of different brands tested at Category 2 'High Speed' 1080p/60Hz. The best brand had a headroom of 41% above HDMI Cat 2. He said this was an excellent result so I was well chuffed.

If you want some of these same cables I can do them at £18 ea + postage.

Regards
