Hi,

I received the cd player yesterday and it works fine but I don't really think that "tip top" condition was very accurate.

There are several scrapes on the facia and a gap between the plastic.
The battery cover is missing from the remote.
A rubber leg is missing from the player.
And there is no power lead.

I'm sure that you didn't deliberately miss sell it as you have a good trading record so I assume it was just an oversight. Not really sure how best to resolve this, do you have any suggestions?

I'm sorry if you aren't happy but I think you will agree that the player performs as you would expect and this is what I was describing WRT condition. I was not aware of the scratches or the other relatively minor niggles that you describe - perhaps my eyes aren't what they used to be. I'd also like to add that this item was in my rack until recently and my very observant wife didn't feel that it was necessary to draw any blemishes to my attention.

However I would counter this with the fact that you have got the player at what I consider to be a very low price - had I not been moving i would be seeking a much higher value.

The lack of a power lead is an inexcusable ommission on my part and i'm more than happy to send you one.

I took tip top condition to be describing the cosmetic condition as oppose to wheteher it worked. I would rather return the player if that's ok with you as the price isn't that good overall especially if I have to find a replacement foot (which is essential in my opinion) and battery cover. If you can find the foot which is a lump of rubber about 2 inches in diameter and 3/4 tall then I would be prepared to keep it.
