For Sale: Denon + PMC + Velodyne DD 15 cinema set-up!

Dear AV Forum people,

I have for sale the following, which needs a new loving home/owner. I am based in London(SW11), and these items cannot be delivered, and must be 'Collection Only!', van required for collection. I have 2 large original boxes for the Denon Amp and DVD player. All items are in excellent condition.

For Sale:
Denon AVC-A1XVA (Ampilifier),
DVD-A1XVA (DVD player - multi-region),
Speakers: Fronts: PMC FB1+, (x 2)
Centre: PMC TB2M-C+, (x 1)
Surrounds: PMC DB1+. ( x 2)
Subwoofer: Velodyne DD 15. (2-3 metre cable supplied)

Speaker Cabling:
Fronts: VDH Teatrack(Approx 2m-2.5m),
Surrounds: Supra Ply 3.4s(approximately 2 x 10m+, 2 x 15m+). All speakers are Bi-amped! I.e. using 2 cables per speaker rather than one! Double the sound source going in!

Cabinet: 2 x Middle Atlantic slim 5's (this item is part of the sale!) Item is black/matt in colour, and is a very strong good looking metal frame(heavy) with wheels to move around.

AV Cabling:1 X Denon Link cable. (This is for both amplifier and DVD player direct connection!)

HD DVD player: Toshiba HD-XE1. (This item is thrown in for free with a few HD DVD movies, approximately 8-9 movies!) Only thrown in if needed and asked for!

All the above does make a wonderfullly enriching experience and is definitely amazing with HD content like blu-ray! I have watched movies with HD sounds, and it is absolutely amazing! The sound is crisp and very accurate. Everything here does complement each other very well, and would suit a person who enjoys both movies and music. Either way its an accurate sounding system and is as detailed as it is loud!

I am putting the price at a bargain £4300.00 for the lot. Buyer must collect, and buyer must pay in cash on the day or money tranferred beforehand and before day of collection must be cleared. Item will be on display to listen to and viewed etc. Boxes will available to carry the Amplifier, DVD player and cables only! Speakers and subwoofer do no have boxes! But I may have boxes for the small speakers.

HDMI cable not included, but I 'may' on day of purchase provide 1 or 2!

Remember, these items are in excellent condition and have been lovingly put together by myself. But times are changing and need to sell. Original documents, and sound equipment to adjust sound are including(there are 2, 1 microphone for the Velodyne DD 15 and 1 for the Denon Amplifier). Also, original remote are supplied for Amplifier, DVD player, Subwoofer and HD DVD player.

Lastly, all the items being sold above have won outstanding awards for their superior quality in their own fields, i.e. subwoofer, Amplifier, speakers etc.

No timewasters please, genuine buyers.

What finish is the DD-15? How old is it, what condition is it in (scratches, dings etc?) are you the original owner and are you interested in splitting? FYI - for an amount of money like that you're unlikely to find someone here to take the lot, you'll have better luck splitting (although you need to state individual prices if you're considering this).

I may buy this as a job lot. Can I ask what condition all the units (amp,cd.sub,hd player, speakers) are in please ? Are any of the units scratched or marked anywhere ?
What colour are the speakers ?
Do you have the original receipts for all these items ? was it all puchased new by yourself ?

Hi Tom,

All the items have been purchased via 2 avenues, the Denon amplifier and DVD player was purchased from a Hifi shop myself, I have the receipt for this. And all the rest of the equipment was purchased through a Hifi/cinema installation company. I still have email documentation and agreements for this and date of installation. I believe all electronic equipment are still under warranty. The conditions of all items are very good to excellent. I have not seen any scratches on any of the items as I am the first owner on these items. And have only moved these items very carefully with a removals company once. Velodynne DD 15 has been kept under a table most of the time, and hasn't been moved, only once for moving home. There is a little dust on top of the Amplifier and DVD player thats all!

All items were purchased new by myself, and through an installation company.

The speakers are in the medium brown, I think a nice shade of Birch Veneer I think! It has changed colour slightly, but all speakers are symmetrical in patterns, as they were cut from the same tree or similar.

The set-up hasn't been used much, as I try to listen to music but really end up just watching movies, and cannot put the volume too loud, as neighbours will complain!

As You can see I have put the items on display for this post. Items have not yet been fully set-up, but will be later today. I will keep the Denon Amplifier and DVD player atop the units for easy checking of any scratches and to make moving easier.

I hope this post has helped somewhat. I will post in another post, 2 photos of the 2 things I have found to be imperfect, they are very small details, but its better to see them.

Hi again,

This post is my second post for photos. This post contains the fault/blemishes I have found. The first 2 photos show the scratch on top of the PMC centre speaker, and the last photo shows the slight/faint discolour on top of one of the front PMC speakers. These are the only faults I can find. I hope it has helped.
