For Sale : DIY cat5 braided speaker cable

Due to redecoration, I can no longer use my DIY cat5(e I think) speaker cables These are about 3 years old and I've never had any issues with them (Running Wharfedale Diamond 8.4 and 8c speakers). I can;t tell you if they are better or worse than X so please don't ask Search the forums! Some people think they are great some people think they are rubbish.

There are 3 cables, 5m 5.5m and 6m with twisted wires one end and banana terminals on the other.

£40 inc p&p / offers or swaps for something cool, an Iphone maybe (he he)

Location: Farnborough/Hants

Re: For Sale : DIY cat5 braided speaker cable

Are these stranded or single-core cat 5 cables?

Cheers, Nick

Re: For Sale : DIY cat5 braided speaker cable

Hi Nick

They are multicore, and spite for + / - on each cable by taking the white stripe and solid colours.

(By multi core I mean a dozen or so wires per cable)

It is absolutely right with three cables.

Cat5 cable produces excellent results.

Re: For Sale : DIY cat5 braided speaker cable

biwiring still requires 3 cat5 cables per run, all you would need to do is chop off to the required lengths and separate the strands to create the strands to create 4 channels per length as per the diagram... Would easily make 3 x 4m bi-wired setups.

AH you want, 4x4m - hmmmyou would have to cut and join some left overs to make the 4thd I'm afraid
