For Sale : iPronto and Nevo SL

I've decided that I need to have a clear out as I am now mainly media streaming and don't need universal remote any more.

Two items for sale:

Philips iPronto universal remote which as most folks will know, has excellent wifi capabilities and can also be used as a web browser. Excellent condition, boxed with manual. I can help with set up if required although programming is easy using the templates on Remote Central. Price £175 inc.

Nevo SL, very sophisticated programmable remote. Again straightforward to programme and useful for multizone streaming applications. Lots of capabilities including wifi connectivity. I don't have the box, but do have manual. Price £150 inc. SOLD to Hawklan

Does the Nevo SL come with the nevo link, nevostudio/media, cradle and cables.

Nevo comes with Nevostudio media, cradle and cables. No Nevolink included.

How would you describe the condition of the nevo, any scratches etc?

Just checked it over to be sure. No marks or scratches. I'd certainly be happy with it if I'd just bought it.

Fancy one of these but not sure how easy they are to program and are the device databases kept up to date do you know?

Programming is straightforward and no more complicated than programming a Pronto or similar. The software is excellent and easy to use.

I really don't know how up to date the libraries are, but there is a good selection also on Remote Central with things like Sky channels and so on.

A quick and easy route to programme would be to take on of the complete system files already done on Remote Central and just modify it for your particual gear. That's what I did when I first got it and I had it up and running within about an hour.

I've had a Nevo SL for a few years now and can certainly recommend it, particularly at this price. It is very easy to program in my opinion. Only downside is battery life which (in my personal experience) only lasts 1 evening without charge, although this shouldn't be a problem for most.
