The 3005 se and 2005.3 both award winning sub/sat packages. Don't know anything about the DVD/Receiver combo and not exactly sure if the Sub is from the respective Sat speaker packages. I have the 2005.2 package and am pretty happy with them. TBH at 50% off they sound a steal but look elswhere just in case, you never know what offers you may find ...

thinking of buying a set of them. wounder would the Kit 530 (KHT3005SE) or Kit 580 (KHT6000 ACE) sounds better?

Kit 580 is moreexpensive but older techorogy.

Please help as I belive the offer will not allow me to demo them.

The KHT6000's will be noticably better, and look a little neater, especially when wall mounted near a plasma

Do you know anything about the sub with these deals and is it noticeably inferior to usual subs.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with that sub, which has been designed specifically for their KIT systems.
