It is shocking what you can get this superb piece of kit for. Shows how much in value these things actually lose. £650 for what you are getting here is superb.

Re: Onkyo TX-NR905 - Best offer searching

Hi I have just tried to order a refurb 905 from exceptional AV on 6 months interest free, but I keep getting this message.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION

T S Courtman & A Timperley of Cooper Parry LLP were appointed Joint Administrators of the Company on 12 May 2009 under Leicester County Court reference 690 A0 of 2009. The affairs, business and property of the company are being managed by the Joint Administrators, who act as agents of the company without personal liability.

Does anyone know if they have gone bust or is it the credit company?

Re: Onkyo TX-NR905 - Best offer searching

Oh dear. Another victim of the credit crunch. That is most definitely not the finance company and unfortunately means they are in administration. They may still be trading but this is not a good sign.

Edit: although saying that their website doesn't seem to make any immediate notice of this. ???

Re: Onkyo TX-NR905 - Best offer searching

I truly apologise. Think I had better stop recommending websites to people as they always go bust.

Mind you! Creative Audio haven't gone bust as well have they? They have very good deals on Onkyo as well.

Re: Onkyo TX-NR905 - Best offer searching

If you go to the "able to buy" web site you get the above message,so perhaps it is the finance company in trouble.

I think you are spot on:
able2buy - message

If I were the boss of Exceptional AV, I would urgently put up a big message on their homepage informing customers that it is not actually them that are in adminstration but the company they use for finance deals.

EDIT: In fact I'm obviously in a good mood, so I've just phoned ExceptionalAV and told them what's going on. The guy was very thankful too. (perhaps I should have asked for a deal on a 906 at the same time )

Yeah good idea, I may ask for a discount for all the stress of not getting my hands on a 905 for £600.
