Yellman??

I've noticed a banner advertisement here for

Yellman

The prices seem too good to be true, and normally if that's the case there is a catch. Has anyone used / bought anything from this site?

Re: Yellman??

My understanding is that the low prices are real in that that is the price you pay if you win the auction. However, to place a 1p bid costs about £1.30 and you don't get that back regardless of whether you win or not.

Say an item is at £1 with 10 seconds left on the clock. You bid (cost circa £1.30), the auction price goes up to £1.01 and the clock resets to 2 minutes. That will keep happening for as long as people bid.

If my maths is correct, an item selling for £1 has actually generated 100 bids at circa £1.30 each - nice work if you can get it.

Happy to be corrected if I misunderstood it
