Thanks: Gave 0, Got 0 | Any UK that ships to europe?
Hi, im finding some great prices on uk stores when comparing with prices on my country (Portugal). Some prices even beat some web spanish stores that have good prices.
My question is, any of you know a uk store that ships outside UK? (Portugal for instance.. )
Thanks

that's a good question.
It's a bit drastic having to take the car to the UK to pick up a bargain, but there is no way that i'm going to pay these 'Rip Off Europe' prices
How a drop in the exchange rate can change everything

I must thank the help of QuantumUK, from quantumelectronics.co.uk, they arranged me shipping to Portugal, allowing me to save some euros when comparing to my country prices.
They also advised me what combo to buy and trough away a pack of cables =)
Hope that do not take too long to arrive
cheers

it is somewhat amusing to see how the tide has turned. A while back, I was jealous of the cheap European prices..and now I have family in Dublin that drive to Belfast to shop.

You've never been to the European mainland?
Can you name one thing that was/is cheaper over here?

There are several UK-shops shipping overseas, just depends on what you are looking for to buy? Personally I'm trying to find a store shipping Denon 1909 or Yamaha 763 amps, so far without any luck. So if anyone have suggestions I would be thrilled to hear...

Leffe Blonde is about as radical as the mainstream bars here get and you probably won't approve of that either .
The fact that alot of the better beers have alc vols double that of what we call strong may have something to do with it. 10% is something people drink in paper bags on park benches here (lookup Tennants Super ).
Ironically I think the more relaxed regulations which encourage the diversity and quality of Belgian beers make them harder to export to the likes of the UK. |

Can you name one thing that was/is cheaper over here? | You need to compare the tax free prices (for example our VAT is lower which makes a difference on something like a car, and if buying from the Netherlands we don't pay VAT & BPM, we pay VAT in the UK). Although most of those savings have long since gone, and even reversed since Sterling took a dive

It's a pretty good beer and beats stupid Stella any day.
If you get a chance, try Grimbergen Blonde. Resembles the Leffe, but has a silky smooth taste.

I like Leffe and will drink it when I see it here, but when I'm over there I prefer to drink some of the more exotic (if you can apply that term to beer ) stuff.
I'll remember to ask for Grimbergen Blonde next time i'm over. |
