As above, would people recommend this TV over th 37LG6000 Scarlet?

I'm looking at getting one of these, what would people say. Same price.

Re: Sony Bravia KDL40V4000 at JL £499

Just ordered this, earliest delivery is Friday January 2nd. Current stock is "more than ten". Of course that could be a very high number, but I doubt it. Apparantly the V4000's are at the end of the line and they're being pushed out. Or at least that's what RS told me. Hopefully this TV will be as good as I expect it. I'm used to a 3 year old 27" Lexsor with a 16ms rt and an 800:1 contrast ratio so i'm sure i'll enjoy the upgrade xD

Rang up my local John Lewis store and they sorted me one out for the same deal as on their website.

Re: Sony Bravia KDL40V4000 at JL £499

Literally just rang up to order one, the guy said they were out of stock and I asked if they would be getting anymore in. He checked and they had some stock in the warehouse so he said he would match the website deal, took my order details etc and its being delivered on the 7th.

Cribbs Causeway in Bristol was the branch I rang, its out of their delivery range so they are delivering by courier instead, very helpful guy on the phone.

Re: Sony Bravia KDL40V4000 at JL £499

Hey guys,

Am I missing something here? It does indeed say 'in stock' but the price says £599, not the £499 the thread states. Any ideas? Have JL bumped the price up or am I missing a trick, because for £499 I have my credit card at the ready!!

Cheers,
Dan
