If you're near the store(sheffield), what a deal this is:

PZ80 £899+5YEAR warranty!

Unfortunately I'm in Kent!

Nice find! I'm very interested in this and nearish Sheffield. Do the Panny plasmas come with a stand as standard? Or is this price just for the screen?

Re: Panasonic 50PZ80 Crampton & Moore.

Good outlet, C&M. Just bought a Samsung 63" off them and they delivered it next day using a local delivery outfit. Their warranty after the 1st year is via D&G which they "accumulate" before bulk-buying it [much cheaper?] from D&G.

As for TV stands, was looking to get the 65 Panasonic or even the 9-gen Pioneer but the honourable "lack of stand" trick of the mighty globalites guided my buying promiscuity. Imagine, Panasonic wanted up to £800 for their stand - it must have Bushido blood coursing through it. The "credit-crunch" altered their sense of madness and their retaliers started including it - but too late for me. Such is greed that it has no limits [because that's what greed is] other than its own fear. In the modern era of the sharp swords of commerce, it is not economies of scale which will limit greed, it will be fear. Let's hope that blu-ray gets its short sharp boot too.

Luckily I got one today then

Managed to price match with my local Pansonic outlet. In the end I got it for £920 delivered, with the full 5 year Panasonic Warranty (I paid instore and had it delivered a few hours later). Just set it up and Kung Fu Panda on Blu-Ray is (and that's not even playing with any settings)
