42 inch plasma under a grand!!!

I dont have details since i only caught it while browsing in a shop. What hifi richersounds bargain section had a 42 inch plasma on special for 999.99 supposedly reduced by 3k...... now i dont know much about this but i had to reckon that however good or bad it may be, it is one big bargain!

Richer are advertising a plasma for £999.99 but i bet their is one in the UK and it was sold 30 seconds after the ad deadline for the magazines!!!!!!Or its the one that has spent 3 months on in their shop window and has the LOGO burnt into the screen.

Hi all

If this is the deal I think it is, (I saw it the other week whilst buying a new centre speaker and nearly had a heart attack reaching for my credit card ... until I saw the small print), its NOT a solo plasma for 999, its a plasma for 999 IF you purchase one of their separate deals, I think - a high(ish) end amp with dvd and speaker set for around the 3k mark THEN the plasma is 999, check out the richersounds brochure for this month for details but I think thats the gist...

Cheers

Edz

Yup edz is right. You have to buy a selection totalling 3K in order to qualify for the £999 plasma. If you calculate the premium that RS is charging for these goods, the actual plasma price equates to £1999. A real bargin

The deal is an LG plasma for £1000 when you buy an Arcam AVR200 at £800, a Pioneer DVD939 at £850 and the Mordant Short THX Select package at £1600 - so the total kit is £4250.
