Sharp (50% off - Siemens only)

I don't know if this is against any posting rules but if any fellow Siemens employees are looking at getting a new Sharp LCD tv then our mydeals website currently has an offer of up to 50% off the sharp website and use 'japan08' voucher code for an extra £50 off. Prices also include free delivery and 5 year warranty.

For example:-

TV model / Sharp Price / Siemens Price / Best Web Price
LC-52XL2E / £2399 / £1149 / £1600
LC-46XL2E / £1699 / £849 / £1100
LC-52X20E / £2099 / £949 / £1400
LC-46X20E / £1299 / £699 / £900

There are smaller TV's available if required. I know there not the best TVs out there but they have to be a good bargain at those prices.

Apologies to none siemens employees who this is totally no use too.

To keep you guys happy amazon are selling the LC-52XL2E for £929 . Think this must be a mistake as the next cheapest on the web is £1600. Anyway I have purchased one so lets see what happens . Only 2 left last time I looked. There were 7 left the time I looked before that so best be quick!!!!

Also, if you know a Siemens employee I beleive they are allowed to buy these offers for family and friends too.

Re: Sharp (50% off - Siemens only)

Surprise, Surprise, email from supplier to say they had made a mistake and the order had been cancelled and refunded to my card. Anyone know where I stand legally on this, the email confirmation from amazon states: "For items purchased from third parties in Marketplace, zShops or Auctions, this e-mail confirms the completion of your contract to purchase those items." If a contract has been made then surely they should have to supply the TV for the price agreed in the transaction whether a mistake or not.

If the money came out of your account then they owe you a TV

If not then contact Amazon and see what they have to say.

The money must have come out of my account as they said they would refund it within 3-5 days.

What bit of law would I need to quote to back this up as neither amazon or the supplier seemed bothered by my first emails?

Re: Sharp (50% off - Siemens only)

Not sure about quoting the law, but I bought a Sonos system from Amazon marketplace for £25 (should be £700). Company honoured the sale, but mysteriously the box was missing a controller (worth £279) so they offered a full refund if I'd send it back. Suffice to say I declined and bought a controller separately. Seems to me they wouldn't have honoured the contract unless they had to, so I'd have thought its worth pursuing from your end.
Good Luck.
