Russ Andrews Yello Powercord is on buy one get one free (limited to one per person per household)
Has anyone bothered with the Yello, and made it better/worse/same?
Thinkinga about getting one, since it's on offer.
Cheers.

I have a yellow powercord on my cd player and there is a noticeable improvement in the bass. Slightly deeper.

I've just bought one Yello (and got the free) one.
Should be here next week, will connect upto Tag DAC and 8000S.
If there is hardly any improvement a mate will take one off me.

Got them today. They should be called "Blacko" because the sheath is black.
Cable is thicker than normal mains cable... can't seem to hear any difference (connected to DAC & integrated amp)

Ive just got mine, fitted one to my tv by cutting the original power cable and attaching a male IEC plug and plugging the yello cable into that.
Havnt done any testing yet but will do later.
nathan_silly, dont forget about the 'burn in' time, supposed to be about 500 hrs to see improvements ???

| By which time you've forgotten what it was like originally.
One of these days I mean to try different cables to see if I can see a difference. Let us know how you get on.

So the power comes out of the mains into your 'Yello' cable...then connects to a male-female IEC combination..then it's spat into the original mains lead.
Just what do you expect to gain from this?
anyway. my ranting is beside the point seeing as it's a complete waste of money in the first place.
I've heard that you can buy 'pygmy blessed' cables imported on the backs of albino Yaks now too

Think of these as 'insurance'. If you don't have jucky mains (lucky) they will do sod all for you, that is what they are designed for. If you do have yucky mains they certainly help. It is measurable and it is audible however it's effect in every situation is different. Hell it is even visible. |

I agree with Beekeeper- the proof of the pudding..........
I was blown away when I bought my first upgraded mains cable 4yrs ago.
Its easy to take the p... but have you actually seriously tested your equipment with decent mains supply.
I think you'll be surprised at the difference it makes to the performance of your equipment.
Mind you, there was always people who refused to believe the world was round, however much proof they were offered. |
