Re: Samsung Bordeaux PS42Q97HDX £552

I'm a real samsung fan but I had one of these and it had a dead pixel, intermittant pixel, distorted sound, turned on by itself and wouldn't sync to its own resolution via a dvi to hdmi lead. It worked for other resolutions though which was wierd. Also it only has a single proper scart with RGB. The second scart is composite only and useless if you ask me. Beautiful looking set but the thing I really hated about it was animation was jerky a lot of the time. It went back as you can imagine. If you can't afford a pioneer get a panasonic thats what I say but don't bother with the rest.

Re: Samsung Bordeaux PS42Q97HDX £552

awesome TV... i have this telly and dont have any of the actual issues as mentioned above, although i dont use the sound as i have a surround jobby but in my experience sound on all flat screens are a bit shady...

the turning on thing is a self update of channels which you can turn off in the menu...

everything else is great...
