Thanks: Gave 63, Got 110 | New 32" Visitron LCD for £230 Delivered
Well this is another LCD price breakthrough. Ebuyer currently has a 32" LCD from the fairly well regarded Vistron for just £230 delivered. This is the first 32" LCD I have seen at significantly under £300 so have ordered one to replace an old 28" CRT and have a play. http://www.ebuyer.com/product/136349
Note that they are selling very fast so get in quick

They added another 150 shortly after that, already down to 40 though.

Ordered one on Friday evening. Arrived Saturday morning at 8.30am. Looks great until you turn it one. Ghosting is dreadful, picture is grainy, contrast particularly is awful (it can't cope with dark images, everything is black with what looks like a negative image) and about 8 dead pixels. It was due to replace our wonderful Sony digital CRT, but in comparison, it is a dead duck. This will be on its way back to ebuyer shortly.
I think most of the problems are down to the viewing distance. From our sofa which is about 9ft for the screen, all the above problems are noticeable, however from 20ft away the picture actually gets a lot better.
Shame, because the price, delivery by ebuyer/City Link and the TV's actual look (when it switched off) are brilliant.
Hope the info is helpful.

LCD are not the best for SD displays, especially freeview! id be the first to admit that my LCD (an LG which is 2/12 years old!)does not produce the best pic on SD TV channels, compared to CRT.
However, Via a HD source its fantastic, whether it be my 360 or Footie in HD,
I cant comment on the Vistron. as ive not seen it in action.

SD only. The TV also has a built in Freeview tuner which suffers from the same problems. I don't have any HD hardware to test and I not thinking of buying any for a couple of years, so the TV is pretty redundant.
