Anyone spotted any bargains for this tv. Best I've found is £1438 delivered including stand @ digital direct.

So any tips?

Anyone who wants to advise me that I should be getting something different and why is also appreciated.

i have this TV, what a picture, even on standard freeview, it's fantastic, can't say enough about the pic quality. as i paid £2200 i'd say snap this up......

Dixons don't carry the 428XD, only the cheaper 4280XD

Yeah I'd seen the Dixons price but I'd rather the 428XD than the 4280XD especially if there's only a couple of hundred £ in it.

By the way, you may also want to look at TLC Broadcast as a supplier. A little more expensive (£1678 with delivery and swivel stand) but including a 5 year warranty plus excellent help and support from Tony. I ordered exactly the same display from them just under a year ago for my parents and it's a lovely panel, you'll not regret buying one (although I don't know what's come out in the last 9 months or so that might challenge the Pio for quality).
