Re: Sevenoaks offers

Definitely worth going in and talking to them if what you want is not in the offers shown.

I just got 15% off an Onkyo 705, and 25% off a set of black Kef 3005 SE's.
Both are specifically excluded from the offers according to the Sevenoaks website

Re: Sevenoaks offers

I got Monitor Audio R225 x 3, RSW12 sub and 2 x R180 plus stands for £1251 a cracking price with the 25 per cent off.

Only problem with Monitor Audio Radius's at the moment is a wall bracket problem so I am waiting for the R225's. Think the R250's are also affected by this problem which will hopefullybe resolved after the New Year.

Re: Sevenoaks offers

Do sevenoaks throw in cables with amps or is it better to get richer sounds to pricematch them?

I.e - if you had a choice would you spend £10 more getting the amp from Sevenoaks or from richer sounds?

Well I spent £1252 with them and got no cables free even though I asked, just OTT we must be crazy speach on their 25 per cent off pricing of the speakers.

You would be better off getting from wherever gives you longest warranty. Think Richer Sounds extra warranties are quite competitive.

Last time I bought something from them the deal with the warranty is that you get the money back if you don't claim at the end of the period.

Re: Sevenoaks offers

I noticed the ad says "xx% off RRP" rather than off store prices. Just wondering if someone could clarify that the reduction is off their normal prices ?

I'm looking for a set of RS5 or 6, just in case anyone's been in !

Jamesaevans: If you don't mind me asking, could you tell me which ones you got and how much they were ?

Re: Sevenoaks offers

Just been to Sevenoaks today, what great offers !

Unlike many other retailers, they're happy to order in stuff for you during sale periods. So NOT just what they have in stock, not display, not ex-dem, etc. Brand new goods at sale prices. Fantastic

Decided on RS6's @ £449.

Hi Graham27,

I got a pair of RS6 and pair RS5 speakers, not sure of the exact price, but was 25% of their normal price, and Monitor Audio don't appear to be discounted on other websites so a very good deal. They also had to order them for me, but took about 2 weeks, and that was over the Christmas / New Year holiday.

I also brought the RSLCR centre speaker, but unfortunatly this was excluded from the sale, but then it was the cheapest out of all the speakers, and overall got a great deal on my home cinema speakers, just waiting for the amp and sub to arrive.

James

Re: Sevenoaks offers

Hi James, thanks for replying !

I got RS6's myself too in the end, and I'm currently trying to convince she who holds the purse strings that now would be a good time to get the RS5/1/FX for the rear, even though I don't have a surround amp yet !

The speakers are indeed a great price, and I think they're doing themselves a disservice by advertising 25% off RRP, when it is in fact 25% off their store prices.

Hope you're enjoying yours
