It's like a "downmarket" version of the PC's Lidl do, and theirs has a floppy disk to boot (pun intended). The lidl one also comes in a full tower case, but has an XP2100 processor. All their components appear to be quite high quality as well, Asus etc.

Just seen Time Computers response to Aldi's offer in a Daily Express advert today. Their advert even indirectly refers to the other system warning buyers away from systems 'without a floppy drive'. I could not find any mention of the new systems on Time's website though.

Surely it isn't difficult to install a floppy drive after you have bought the system?

I saw this advert at the weekend aswell.

I think it is an excellent price for what you are gettting.

Don't think the £749 includes the monitor though but its still a bargain.

My Mum has just bought a computer for £200.00 more than this and this one for £749.00 would have been much better.

Floppy drives aren't that difficult to fit and very cheap anyway if you absolutely had to have one.

And anyone who buys a computer from Time or one of Time's companies needs their head examining.
