I think now might not be the best time to buy a single format player. If LG release their dual format this spring, nobody will pay a lot for a single format player any more.
On reflection, that's not a bad price actually, when you take shipping, insurance, customs, duty, VAT and delivery into account. I've done it the independant route, and little things really add up.

Why waste the money on a single format player now (especially the blurry player...)...wait a while until denon or yamaha etc come up with a 'proper' multiformat player. leave the samsungs for the same people who buy tvs' from asda...

Instead of buying this why not just get a PS3 for about the same money, it's supposed to be a better blu-ray player anyway!

Best keep a look out for what is happening over at CES (Las Vegas) next week. This is where all the new player announcements are made and displayed.
