Wink 10 Socket Anti-Surge Protection Strip normally £24.99 for £12.49 Limited Time Only

Hi All,

Just picked up a 10 socket anti surge strip with phone line protection sockets for £12.49 from maplin. It's on promotion until 24/12/2006, usual selling price is £24.99. Bit of a bargain I think.

This would be good for anyone that wants more sockets than the 8 the big Belkin surge protectors provide at a fraction of the cost

Heres the spec:-

10 Way Surge Strip White
* Protects PCs and hi-fis from damaging mains surges
* 10 socket outlets
* Separate surge and power neon indicators
* Fitted with 2m of cable
* Max surge 4500A
* 2 wall mounting holes on rear

You can watch a small demonstration AVI about it HERE (taken from the Maplin site)

Direct Link To the Strip On Maplin

Hope this is useful to someone

Hi,

Does anyone know if the Maplin Protection Strip will protect against lightning strikes? We have overhead powerlines and are more at risk.

Cheers
GD
