Acoustic Energy Aelite Twos

At superfi - for £199.99 - and in stock too (just ordered a pair)

seems like a superb bargain to me for real wood vaneer decent magnetically shielded speakers ...

the Aerolite Ones are the same price - but not quite such a bargain - although still very cheap

[UPDATE] they arrived today - so good service from Superfi (free postage) - the speakers are very good indeed - they are quite large - but really well made - you'd get nowhere near the build quality for the price. Sound wise they are excellent - I prefer them by quite a margin to the Tannoy S8Cs that I had - they are much less "one note" bass - I tended to find with the S8Cs they had a lot of bass -but it was all centered round about 50Hz.

These Aerolites are being used as computer speakers (they are fully magnetically shielded)

Re: Acoustic Energy Aelite Twos

Nice bargain there! I'm fully loaded on speakers, but will keep this in mind for friends. Cheers pal
