Comet Bargain for Panasonic TX28DTM1

I am looking for a 28inch widescreen CRT, possibly with integrated Freeview.

I have just spotted the Panasonic TX28DTM1 for sale on line at Comet for £311.88 plus £15.95 delivery. This looks an excellent price.

http://www.comet.co.uk/comet/html/cache/453_251933.html

The Comet instore price is £499.99. John Lewis have it for the same price but with a free DVD recorder thrown in.

I would obvioulsy prefer to buy at JL to get the 5 year warranty but £170+ less is a huge difference.

I believe it is about to be superceded by a new model but I wondered what the rest of you thought about this.

I dont want to spend more than £400 if possible.

What do people think about this model and Panny sets in particular?

Are there any other recommendations I should consider?

It's not 100hz - is this a problem?

If I have integrated Freeview instead of a separate box I assume I can't record a freeview channel whilst watching a terrestial channel.

Thanks in advance for your help

Albo

ps - I've also posted this in the TVs forum so apologies for those reading this twice

From what I've read on this forum 100Hz only becomes an issue with larger screen sets where the scan distance is larger, therefore the refresh would become visible.
28" sets IMO look better than larger screen sets a lot of the time with today SD broadcasts.
