Less than £50 delivered !

I bought a pair about 4 years ago for £100 from them, and I thought that was good value.

I have been really pleased with them - great sound and no speakers on show.

The wide sound-stage makes them excellent for surround speakers, as their positioning is not that critical.

But they sound equally good as main speakers.

Any one else have comments on these speakers? I was just looking at the link... I would buy a set to try out, how would these integrate into a surround system if you have to add the additonal subwoofer?

I have a pair of these speakers, used in a previous house.
I was actually quite impressed with the sound quality. You do need to use the sub though, and it sounded better when placed between the speakers.
They really are good value IMO at the price. Certainly very partner friendly

I found it really hard to get the positioning of the sub in a user friendly place, but setting them as "small" speakers on my AV amp they worked great (as rears) And i paid £200 for mine many years ago!

Your existing speaker cables just connect to the back of the sub, and the cables to the panels go out from there too.

My sub is hiden behind a sofa, but sound is good.

With the lastest models you do not have to use the sub if you already have one in your system. I put the bass through my 200 watt yamaha. I paid £79 in r.s. late last year and they are perfect for my current living room due to window and door positioning.

My wife has put our own pictures in the frames and no one knows they are speakers until you tell them.

A defo bargain at £50.

Would I be able to connect them directly to my poweramp?
Is the sub passive or active?
Just went for them without knowing much about them at all!

The sub is passive.I believe that they work like regular speakers so you should be able to just plug them straight into the amp providing you have a sub already,or otherwise you'll have to connect through the bundled sub first..

Might buy a set to play with myself..

At £50 they're worth a punt. Will try them as rears and if I don't like them, I don't suppose it''ll be too difficult to sell them on.

The panels are then wired directly from the sub-woofer (the panels must be wired through the sub for adequate overload protection).

My speakers turned up today. Haven't had time to set them up yet but for anyone else considering buying these, the pine framed ones are actually beech.

A little help please. Try as I might, I can't get these speakers to work when connected to the sub. They work fine connected directly to my amp [Pioneer VSX-D912] but they sound tinny. I'm using them as rears so the sub may not be essential anyway. I've checked and rechecked the cables but my amp keeps giving me an overload message and then shutting itself down. I have them connected to the surrounds terminals on the amp. I've heard of people having problems connecting rear speakers to the back surround terminals so I haven't tried that yet.

If your amp is shutting down, maybe there is some dodgy wiring happening! ie. a short somewhere. I would check this out first..

When I used my flat panels, I ran 2 sets of speaker cables from amp to sub (L&R), and then 2 more sets, 1 each from sub to panel.
If you could tell me exactly what wiring you are trying at the moment I could be of more help
