Got a pair or 916is today! Tried them in the shop and they sounded average but were on a crap amp. Maybe its just me but them seam good over most of the range, just too sharp/bright around voice frequencies.

The guy convinced me to take them home on a 14 day trial. They do sound better but I still like my very old Sonys more at the moment

I hope they are going to improve with age, or else they are going back next weekend.
