Speaker Cables laid into wall, permanent?

Still planning my new AV setup and wondering what to do with the cables. I plan to put them into the wall, but just wondered how other people have done this.

Should I try to put the cables in a larger channel so they can be pulled back and changed at some point in the future, or do they just get plastered over and become a permanent fixture?

My problem with channeling so the cables can be pulled back is that I have solid floors, no floorboards to run the cables under. So I either have to put the cable between the floor and carpet, or channel it into the roof.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Re: Speaker Cables laid into wall, permanent?

Can you put the cables in a piece of conduit (Mine are in 40mm waste pipe)?

Also put in a draw string so that you can pull additional cables through as and when required.
