Smile cat5 to s video

does any one know where i can get a lead that is RJ45 to male svideo ihave seen some converters but they cost $62.00 a pair
is this my only solution?they idealy want to be less than 1meter
long the site that sells the adapters is www.s-video.com

I bought a converter from here:

They support stereo sound aswell as s-video, and I use them to transport s-video from my main sky box, to another room using a 20 metre run of Cat 5.

The quality is superb. But they are a bit pricey (~£100 for a transmitter + receiver).

I made my own little converter to start though, just wiring up the svideo directly to the Cat 5 cable, and the quality was excellent at a length below 2 metres. After that it started snowing.
The boxes from the above site though change the impedance of the signal to reduce loss etc, and work very well.

cat5 adapters to s video

im ordering the adaptors from svideo in the states
im only interested in sending s video to my projector from my av amp the sound goes straight out to the 5.1 ishall let you all know what the picture is like 62 bucks was £33
