Power Protection for Home Theater Setup

My Home theater setup includes, Plasma TV + Denon AVR + Dish HD DVR + DVD Player. I have power surge protector + extension cord combo feeding this beast.

Over the last few months, The DISH DVR needed to be replaced thrice and 2 DVD Players have stopped working. I think this is power related and am wondering how to protect my home theater setup before I buy the blu-ray player.

Any advice would be helpful?

if you're sure it's power related (sounds very possible) then you would benefit from a UPS (Uniterruptible Power Supply).

The most basic of systems (line-interactive) will filter your power and provide backup time for blackouts.
The more advanced systems (online) will not only filter the power, but will completely re-generate it. So it doesn't matter what goes in (voltage, frequency etc) you will always get a pure sine wave output. Of course, you will also get your backup time too.

I could go in to more detail but it would probably bore you to death
