Depressed....cheer me up! (Room sizes)

Well, after months of harassing and badgering (not like me honest!) of the Mrs, I finally got permission to turn one of our spare rooms into whatever I like home cinema / games room wise, as long as I leave enough money to buy food!

Cue lots of plans and ideas in my mind about 1080p, driving seats, 12.1 speaker systems, and manically reading all the build threads in here, basically acting like a child before xmas.

Problem is...just measured the rooms available! 3.5*3.3 metres

Sounds like a PJ is out of the window immediately, so I'm looking for someone to assure me that at least one other person has managed to do something with a room this size!

Please! (she wont let me take the lounge or the master bedroom!)

Yep, my room is about that size and I have a Panasonic PJ working no problem. You just need to choose your projector carefully.

Re: Depressed....cheer me up! (Room sizes)

No need for depression. Mine is 10x8 and I managed to get 6 cinema seats in there. That said, there was an en suite that was converted for gear and dvd/bluray storage. Use a project (Sony VPL HS20) and have an 8 ft screen!

Best of luck!

Re: Depressed....cheer me up! (Room sizes)

See, I knew you guys would make me feel better, thanks for the comments!!

There is an alcove in the room I can use for storage, so that should clear some of the issues, maybe its time to start a build thread!!

Thanks again peeps!

Re: Depressed....cheer me up! (Room sizes)

I am building one exactly the same size. Decided on a 2m screen and a Sanyo PLV 700. It even meets THX viewing standards!
