Need help with room design.

Well nasically my knowledge isnt that great on this subject but am redoing my room and have been looking at alot of your guys work and though about maybe puttin in a fake chimney breast to house all of my electrical equipment..

Heres a quick plan with the measurements in meters i just took quickly.

It needs to hold if preferable.

26" LCD TV
17" monitor
PS3
Surround sound unit.
Center and side speakers.
Freeview box.
PS3 accesories
Remotes

Any suggestions on what to do. Where i have put the measurement of 1.45 meters is where i wish to build the fake chimney.

Thanks for any suggestions

Re: Need help with room design.

I think your set up would work better if you moved your bed and put the fake chimney breast central on the opposite wall like this

Re: Need help with room design.

Unfortunatly that is not possible.

I forgot to mention ive got built in wardrobes in that part of the wall so there is doors all along that wall..

The only possible place for me to put it is the place i said which makes things that little bit more difficult

Re: Need help with room design.

bed under the window, chimney breast on the other wall sorted.

my advise though? I would re-arrange my room at least once every year, a falst chimney is a fair bit of work.. and money... and its permanent.

I wouldnt bother, just wall mount the TV and get a nice low profile stand for your kit. Or like many other members, just get a flash looking set of chest of draws, and put your gear on top of them.
