New False wall help

Hi

Im pretty new to this forum and have read quite abit.

Ive brought all my home cinema equipment which is:

Pioneer LX-PDP5090 Plasma
Onkyo 876 Amp
B&W MT30 surround sound speakers (QED Silver Anniversary cabling)
Sony PS3

I would like to house the Plasma screen into the false wall. The false wall will be against a brick wall and be a stud wall approx 6-7inches thick from the main wall.

Ive done all the measurements and got the sqaure frame in across the floor, ceiling and walls.

Ive now got the timber frame for the Screen in place.

I wanted to find out, should I put the wall bracket on first, then the screen and make sure all my measurements are correct before puting the plasterboards up.

For the last few days I had to take the frame on an off to get the size and location right.

Any advise on building this false wall would help as I dont seem to be getting very far.

Thanks

Re: New False wall help

Bit difficult to understand exactly what you mean. Add some pictures it may help.

I would suggest having a read through one of the many threads that provide a step by step guide to just about any kind of floating wall going. Either way, I would suggest the bracket is up before the timber and frame are erected, if your measurements are right, you should have no problems?

Re: New False wall help

I think I know what you mean. I'm doing something similar myself. Luckily my bracket allows for horizontal movement so I only had to get the height right. I planned and drew it out to the best of my ability but had to do the studwork then position the bracket.

It was only really a problem though because the Vesa 200 fixings are in the top third of my TV. If they are central it should be a lot easier to position the bracket...

Not sure that helped really...
