What types of paints are forgiving to faults on a floating wall?

Hi all,

Im ready to paint my floating wall, now although I cant tell immediatly, I do have a feeling there will probably be a few faults in areas, so I was wondering what type of paint would be quite forgiving?

Im really quite keen on the suede effect paint, but a) its pritty expensive and also b) my kitten seems to love lumpy walls (out wallpaper is sorta 3d and she likes scratching it!) so my fear is the kitten scratches it and ruins it. So with this in mind is there any perticular type of paint that is more forgivving (making faults less noticeable than others) that certain other types?

I've heard Dulux Trade emulsion paints, whilst slightly more expensive than their standard range, are more forgiving on poor wall finishes. But these only come in standard colours I think (white, magnolia.. others?) so perhaps a white Dulux Trade base coat followed by your emulsion of choice will do the trick.

Not tried it myself though - anybody out there used Dulux Trade?

I can assure you from experience that the Crown range of 'Suede' paint is very forgiving and hard wearing too.. I would be surprised if your kitten could scratch it off once fully dried!!

I have used this paint on MDF panels in my cinema room and it does a great job of covering most imperfections with just one liberally applied coat.

As to the cost... well I didn't find it to be that much more expensive that a good quality standard paint from say Crown or Dulux etc.

I always try to put off buying items like this until the DIY stores have one of there '10 or 20% off' days anyway so I can take advantage of lower than normal costs!!

I was just about to recommend this exact paint. It should hide all your worries. I have used this in the past myself and can honestly say, it will tick all your boxes Grangey

Another one here who has used it for his cinema room and totally agree with that
