Components arranged above TV?

i have a question regarding the layout of some of the components of my HDTV setup.

i have a Sony Bravia 40" W Series, a Playstation 3, a Bravia DVD/Home Theater console, and a digital HD cable box. i was planning on setting things up (due to space constraints) where the consoles are on a shelf situated above the HDTV, which will be wall mounted.

however, someone i know who recently bought an HDTV setup was told by the setup crew he hired that you specifically shouldnt do this. i'm assuming it has to do with interference issues or something along those lines, although i wasnt provided a clear reason.

just looking for opinions on this idea, and whether or not i should come up with something different altogether.

This will work absolutely fine, there will be no issues.
