Ok, I think I know what I want to do... suggestions?

Well, after brousing these forums for ages Iv found it really hard deciding how to get my setup to look more organised and attractive, whilst also making a minimal inpact on my current property as we rent.

I think iv finally come to a conclusion and think that the floating wall idea would be most suitable for what Im trying to achieve although as I have a 10ft projector screen, i was trying to figure out how I would best hide this in the wall.. so, after seeing a number of peoples setups searching for inspiration, this is what Iv come up with...

So had a play with that google sketch thing, so really just keen to hear your thoughts on whether this can be made simpler, or more effective, or appear better etc etc, Im still not 100% on wether it would be best to have all my units next to eachother on one floating shelf, or have a ladder of floating shelves with the units leading up to the tv. Im also intending to make this a compleate floating wall- backlit... rather than 3 sides appeared to be floating with the bottom not.

So here are a couple of screenshots (As i dont know how to take proper pics of them), do let me know what you think and I would really appreciate any suggestions or advice you may have as this is a first for me!!!

I think it looks fine as you've shown it..
The only thing is that's it's a bit off centre...Is that a doorway where the white panel is shown on the sketch?

Re: Ok, I think I know what I want to do... suggestions?

hmm, now even more unsure,

although the aspect ratios are out on the av equipment, and tv etc, I cant decide which layout would look better...

heres the other potential option, and an overview of my room so you can see what Im trying to get at.

more thoughts please!!

Re: Ok, I think I know what I want to do... suggestions?

What's the other end wall like?
If it's a plain wall, I'd be reversing the whole set up..Then you would be able to centre the screens and not have the problem with the door..

Re: Ok, I think I know what I want to do... suggestions?

its open plan and goes into our dinning room, and then finishes on some large french doors covering the whole back wall... otherwise believe me I would be! Or id be looking to relocate the door.... but again, not possible due to the layout of the house lol!

for a better idea of my room have a look at the attachments although do excuse the mess as it was during my most recent reshuffle following the addition of my new 7.1 av reciever...

Re: Ok, I think I know what I want to do... suggestions?

That does make it difficult..
Looks like you'll have to stay with your original plan..

Re: Ok, I think I know what I want to do... suggestions?

If you can, I would get rid of the cimney breast and rotate your plan by 90 degrees.
