Google sketchup :- tips?

Im starting to use sketchup to plan my living room setup and not having a great time

Spent a couple hours mucking about but still not really got anywhere.

Anyone got any tips on how best to use it? Also if anyone can upload there sketch design's so i can have a play that would be great

One tip. Seven words.

Watch some of the tutorial videos. Invaluable.

Just like he said , go on 'youtube' and type in sketchup tutorial , infact just click this link YouTube - aidanchopra's Channel , he doea a dummies guide which i found brilliant

Think in terms of boxes and cubes not 2D rectangles and Squares and that helps imensley

Also try importing some models from the warehouse and exploding them so you can see how other people have built them.
