First attempt at home cinema - Advice appreciated.

Hi My name's Andy, aged 22 and a huge video game / home cinema fan.

I've recently bought a flat with my girlfriend, and I've claimed our living room as a games room, however, all our stuff looks really messy, and is in need of some serious organisation. I'd appreciate ideas you may have, any products or solutions you think would suit the room.

As it stands at the moment, our sofabed is under the window;

The back wall, this currently has the DVD's and such lined up against it, I didn't think it was suitable for the TV, as it would mean the sofa would be either in the middle of the room, or blocking the door to the kitchen:

So that leaves the corner, between the hall and the kitchen, so you'd have to view the TV from a slant, it's definitely watchable, it isn't uncomfortable, it's just not 100% perfect.

Ideally, If you have any ideas, either for a suitable corner unit for this corner, or any other suggestions, it'd be greatly appreciated. I was thinking about a floating wall in the corner, but I don't think I'd have the necessary DIY skill, or the authority from the misses to do it

Difficult to understand without a plan view and dimensions

Hi Andy, I am going to be moving into a new flat in january, and I am also interested in peoples ideas, but I think your best bet is to do what I had to do, and go through all the pages here on DIY and Members galleries to get inspiration.

Its really cool to see what some people do, and you can pinch ideas left right and centre but overall make the place your own.

Try google sketch up its good for sorting furniture out

Thanks for your input guys, I realise that it isn't ideal working with the photos I supplied.

I think I'll try and map the room out in SketchUp, and hopefully come up with something decent. Hopefully one day I'll be able to show it off. ;D
