Pics of AV hidden cupboards, rooms, 19" racks

Anyone who has a hidden area containing all their gear (ie, racks, cupboards) could you post your pics here please? and also list where exactly you got the racks etc.

Need some inspiration...

Very nice, can you also post where you got your rack and other bits and bobs?

Re: Pics of AV hidden cupboards, rooms, 19" racks

I'm an installer so I got it from myself, see sig. But, rack and blanking plates are from Middle Atlantic. The power strip at the bottom was from www.canford.co.uk.

Dupe...

Very nice DJ Dulux. I was going to go down the MA route a while back, then thought I'd put it on hold for a while, but the last few days I've been thinking about it again. Your pic has just refuelled my craving for an MA rack with faceplates lol.

Looks wicked mate.

Re: Pics of AV hidden cupboards, rooms, 19" racks

dj-dulux what IR system are you using? Xantech??

I'll be looking for something similar for myself (personal), but the racks I do at work are all full-length cinema/nightclub systems so we rarely / if ever use IR packages in the racks as they tend to be fixed in one-place (obviously no remotes) as with everything controlled through a Soundweb DSP.

One of the many iterations of my rack - note this is now 44u but we are in the process of decorating...

Edit: Mark, I've just realised that you're the OP so you've seen these pics before!

Its all controlled with the Philips TSU9600 and the RFX9600 extender, this gives IR control for the DVD and sky box, everything else is RS232, projector, video and audio processors and Lutron lighting behind rack. Blinds and active speakers are switched using the relays, again in the Philips. A panasonic Blu-ray player has been added too now.... I have not used soundweb for some time, but nothing stopping you using it in domestic applications........

Dupe...

Not really a rack but the kit is hidden away in a kitchen cupboard...
