Mounting TV on chimney breast...

Hi All,
This seems to be the best place to ask this question.
I am about to start redoing the lounge and would like the 37" panasonic (currently on pedestal)fitted on the chimney breast as it's the best viewing position and saves space. I read a good post from "Gavster"

which involves 65mm dia holes drilled through into the (unused) chimney. This would be the perfect answer for my room but would obvoiusly render the fireplace unusable for the future. Is there any easier options anyone has come up with?

Cheers

Thumbs up Re: Mounting TV on chimney breast...

Hi jro7563,
Cheers for that. Nice job.
I think that is the way to go.
I got a quote from installation company which all in was going to be nearly £400.
Hopefully after some more research I will have a go myself.
Thanks again.
