Ceiling mounting - screen or PJ first?

Hello,

I'm going to wall mount my PJ-TX100 using one of these mounts.

I'll be mounting a couple of screws in my (concrete) ceiling to hold the screen.

Given that I don't want to drill, cock-up, fill in the holes, start again - I'll be measuring twice and cutting once. But which should go first? The PJ has good keystone correction, so being a bit off isn't the end of the world.

Thanks

T

Re: Ceiling mounting - screen or PJ first?

I'd install the screen first and then take your time aligning the PJ up to the required position before mounting it to the ceiling. I'd also strongly advise against using any sort of keystoning. Lense shift is ok but keystoning is a big no-no.

Re: Ceiling mounting - screen or PJ first?

Thanks, that did the trick. Lined up beautifully and the lens shift correct any imperfections in my measurements.
