Wiring/Sockets

Hi all,
in the process of doing up my front room, got plasters coming in nxt weekend.

Im not sure what sockets to put in Chrome, Brushed Steel, not sure really... anyone got any suggestions. Plus need to get some co-ax sockets too.

I know you can google and come up with loads of different stores online, but want to use a store tried and tested.

Secondly, i need to move my sky HD from one corner to the opposite corner, but cable is not long enough, whats the best way to extend..

Personally I prefer the brushed finishes on sockets and switches. Fingerprints are more obvious on polished finishes.

Places I can recommend are screwfix.com, toolstation.com and tlc-direct.co.uk.

GO BRUSHED CHROME!

Trust me, Dont touch (excuse the pun) polished, they are a nightmare and show figure prints straight away.

Most manufacturers offer all the sockets and connections you will need.

To extend satellite coax, use WF100 cable and put F's on the end you want to extend and through barrels or back-to-backs as we call them.

Most of that should be all available through screwfix and the like.

Our entire house was done in those.

I say was, as I am now replacing some with homeeasy ones from B&Q so that they can all be remote controlled.

i forgot to add, i was looking for some brushed chrome sat sockets, but they dont have it in the range i like:

im also looking for some brushed plates finished in brushed chrome... i only found these ones:

but they aint as good looking as the first lot from tlc, any ideas where else i can try for them?.

I have some of the brush sockets and they are flat but look a lot better than they do in the photo on that website. I couldn't find any metal ones with bevelled edges.
