Big telly above working fireplace?

Is it safe / possible to have a 37" LCD fitted above a working 'real' (wood burning) fireplace?

I believe the chimney breast is brick built but dont know much more that that.

I assume fitting a suitable bracket to the wall isnt a problem however im concerned about heat rising from the fire and also about how best to route the cables. I guess the cable could only be routed after creating a cutout in the brick / plaster?

I have searched the forums but have only really come across suggestions for gas / electric fires....

Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks

Stick a thermometer up against the wall and check the temp when a roaring fire is going, thgen check in the manual if its within the safe operating tempertures.

I have it done,I havent lit the fire yet but I plan to.
