Fixed Frame advice needed

Hi Guys

I am going to buy a fixed frame screen soon, but as I am renting I dont relly want to go drilling holes in plasterboard walls to hang the screen is there a way I can mount it ontop of a sideboard against the wall so it sits on some bracket or stand coming out of the table? Similar to something like this

http://www.theplasmacentre.com/produ...ltered&cpgn=45

Has anyone done anything like this before?

Re: Fixed Frame advice needed

Seen these from a few places, Ikea, Dwell etc, would probably be quite easy to make something similar

Re: Fixed Frame advice needed

Can a fixed frame also be hung like a picture without the brackets just by knocking 2 or 3 nails in and hanging it on that, that way I can still have it on the wall and not damage it with brackets or anything?

I have my beamax hung that way except screws not nails, it is not really heavy so screws have worked for me.

Re: Fixed Frame advice needed

A friend of mine has his fixed frame backed with velcro strips which he has stuck 1" squares every 12" or so round the wall. This fixes with no probs at all. When he last moved he just took the velcro off the walls and put a quick cover of magnolia emulsion on the wall (15mins with a roller) and it was good as new no holes no screws no worrying about finding the wood in the plasterboard.

Food for thought.
