HT install projector/screen in concrete ceiling?

Any recommendations on how to install a projector and a screen into a concrete ceiling? Will normall mounts work? Do I need special screws? And most important: will it hold - I wouldnt want 10lbs of projector falling on anybody's head....

Re: HT install projector/screen in concrete ceiling?

Concrete is a great material to get a fix into - no crumbling thermal blocks for you! I would recommmend expanding anchors, something like this - Screwfix. Not sure the exact size to recommend, but I think that looks about right - 8mm bolt, 75mm long fixing, for holding a heavy projector. Other opinions welcome!

Cheers,
MarkP

Re: HT install projector/screen in concrete ceiling?

yeah, what mark says will hold and then some. I'd imagine 4 of them would hold it and you could probably hang off it too!!!

PS I don't suggest you hang off it and am not liable if you do and it all goes wrong
