Thanks: Gave 111, Got 262 | Wall Mounting 60" Pioneer
We're currently installing a 60" Pioneer onto (into) a false wall, and need a little bit of advice.
The panel will be mounted where the light is.
The KURO has a very thin (5mm) gloss depth we'd like to display:
Any suggestions on how to do this? It's going to be extremely difficult to get this bang on.
Are there any brackets that will allow the panel to be pulled away from the wall? I know they exist, but I've never seen any for 9-stone 60" panels.
Thanks in advance. |

when you say false wall , what exactly is the construction of the wall ?? , you are going to need some serious fixings to support that weight

I'll get some pics tomorrow of it all done (or a smashed/shattered 60" Pioneer on the floor).
It'd be good if anyone had any suggestions as well. |

Thanks in advance. | I'd be really interested in how you got on with this install Mr K
I'm going to be doing something very similar.
I'm getting a Pio 60". Just waiting to see if I prefer the KRP 600A or the 6090.
I also wanted a really good wall mount that will allow me to pull out the Pio and also angle it to the L or R if wanted.
After hours of research I've gone for the Future Automation PS60 Mount. It's a new model designed for 60"ers and can handle a load of 120 kg.
I've got that at home now and it is extremely well made and engineered - and it weighs a ton.
I have a timber framed house that is brick clad so I'm getting a builder out to tell me how I can re-inforce the wall sufficient to take all the weight. The fact that the TV can be pulled out adds tremendous stress as well as there is a downward leverage effect.
Anyway, how did you get on, and what mount did you go for in the end ? EDIT - Just noticed, and read, your THX Living Room DIY link.
Which shows in detail your progress. You changed your mind on the "pull out" bracket then ?

We made out own in the end. It's very basic but does the job. It can be pushed in and out of the wall if we ever need to remove it. It's exactly what we were after. |
